Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate
On the first day, we’ll pick you up from Marrakech at 8 am and drive 4 hours to Ouarzazate via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. We’ll stop along for pictures and visit Telouet, an ancient 17th century Kasbah. After lunch, we’ll see the Ait Benhaddou kasbah (an 11th century World Heritage Site), visit the Atlas Studios, and stay overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll depart at 9:00am and drive 2 hours along the beautiful Draa River, one of the longest rivers in Morocco. We will make a few stops at ancient kasbahs and Berber villages along the way and have lunch in Alnif. Finally, we’ll drive to Merzouga and the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will get to meet Gnawa musicians, have a camel ride through the dunes (about one hour and a half) and stay overnight in our luxury camps.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Todra Gorge – Dadès Gorges
After breakfast, we’ll leave Merzouga to Todra Gorge and have lunch there. Then we’ll stop at Dadès valley, Monkey Fingers Canyon, and the Dadès Gorge. We’ll stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 4: Dadès Gorges – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, we’ll depart at 9am and drive via the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs. We’ll stop at Rose Valley, Skoura Oasis with its authentic 17th century kasbah, and Taourirt kasbah (the former residence of the Glaoui). We’ll have lunch in Ouarzazate and drive 4 hours via the Tizi N’Tichka pass back to Marrakech where we will stay overnight.
*NOTE: All accommodations during the tour are organized by us. We usually stay in beautiful, traditional riads or hotels to give you the most authentic Moroccan experience. All of them include breakfast and dinner.
