Day 1: Marrakech – Dadès Gorge
We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech, and then head over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) while enjoying superb views of the mountains and of the Berber Villages on the way. We’ll stop for lunch and tour in the World heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. This famous kasbah has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films. Then we’ll pass through Ouarzazate and continue towards the Valley of Roses, the Dadès valley, Skoura oasis with its authentic 17th century kasbah, the valley of a thousand Kasbahs and the Dadès Gorge. We’ll stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 2: Dadès Gorge – Merzouga
After breakfast, we’ll head to the Todra Gorge, a series of canyons rising to 400 m in a narrow valley full of palm trees and Berber villages. After lunch in the gorge, we’ll return to Merzouga desert, stopping along the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi where you will take a camel ride (about one hour and a half) in order to get to our luxury camps. We will have a beautiful evening watching the desert sunset and enjoy Berber dinner and music by the campfire.
Day 3: Merzouga – Marrakech
After breakfast, we’ll head back to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and through the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll arrive in Marrakech at around 8pm.
*NOTE: All accommodations during the tour are organized by us. We usually stay in beautiful, traditional riads or hotels to give you the most authentic Moroccan experience. All of them include breakfast and dinner.
